Michael Coon is a fine artist, born in Evanston, Illinois in 1967. He was adopted, and grew up in Massachusetts and South Carolina. In 1990 Coon went to Hartwick college graduating with a BA in Music and Anthropology. Post graduate work included medical graphics and commercial illustration; Coon worked/lived in Boston, then Chicago. Coon’s graphic work with several studios led to founding his own company, Quickart Studio Inc., working in Advertising, Film and Television, Theater and Comics.

From 2014 - 2019, Michael Coon began studying both abstract/representational painting, drawing, and printmaking at The Art House, which included exhibiting in both group and juried shows. 

In 2020, in the midst of COVID, he and his wife relocated back to the East Coast where Coon established a new studio space to focus on developing his fine art work. Michael Coon is represented exclusively at The Art House Gallery.
