The work belongs to the series In_permanence, is a broad digression on the expiration of things through time and on the feelings, attitudes, consequences, around this fact.
In this series I always use a Proust armchair, an object that is eloquent for being a product designed for the luxury market by Alessandro Mendini, made in honor of the writer of “in search of lost time”, Marcel Proust.
I think that perhaps it was ironically baptized by Mendini, since this armchair is an expensive object, but destined to disappear, like everything else in life. As Proust says, sometimes we are willing to believe that the present is the only possible state of things
