The Gestural Guitar series features a mix of silhouetted guitar and cello forms. A white painted line defines the shape of a guitar. Seen through and behind this white guitar a second yellow guitar stands vertically. Even further behind a magnified cello is defined in black. The wood grain of the surface shows through from using transparent paint, sanding and scraping away paint. Sand has been added creating a different texture and attempting to combine natural elements, sand and wood, in a composition.
