This collage is about manufactured texture and consists of packing material attached to one another. The top piece has been painted on, then ripped with the torn piece folded over and pasted creating a double image. This action forms a forward and receding movement of the texture. On the folded backing the pressed paper pushes towards the viewer while the pressed paper within the packing material moves back into the collage creating an additional change in elevation. When discussing this collage with Rebecca George, the director of The Art House Gallery, she referred to the double images as two heads. I instantly saw the shapes kissing.
